The Expansion Vessel Training Unit, "TEVT", is a test unit for sanitary and heating techniques that allows studying the operation of an expansion vessel. It also allows studying the pressure – volume characteristic curve of it.
The aim element of study is an expansion vessel from which it is possible to represent its pressure – volume characteristic curve, for which it is filled with water from a storage and measurement tank.
The way to fill the expansion vessel for its study is to introduce water that comes from the transparent storage and measurement tank that includes the unit. Using a small air compressor, pressure is generated on the measuring tank, which will allow the passage of part of the water it contains to the expansion vessel.
The air pressure generated in the tank can be regulated by controlling the air flow to be introduced by means of a pressure regulator.
On the other hand, for the representation of the pressure – volume characteristic curve, the unit has a pressure gauge that measures the pressure exerted by the air and, the volume will be determined by the displacement experienced by the water in the storage and measurement tank that is observed in the scale it contains.
