The PID Control and Regulation of pH Level Unit, "RYC-pH", designed by EDIBON, enables the practical study of automatic control systems through the regulation of the pH level in a stirred tank.

This unit allows students and technicians to understand and apply PID control theory in a real-world setting. It consists of a base with sensors and actuators, such as pumps for the acid and base circuits, a pH meter, and a stirring tank, as well as an interface box that integrates the power supply, signal conditioning, and the necessary connections to the control system.

It is used in conjunction with the base unit "RYC" to control the pH level of the solution, by regulating the flow rate of one of the circuits, while keeping the other flow constant.

GUIDED PRACTICAL EXERCISES INCLUDED IN THE MANUAL

  2. Analyze the transient response of the system.
  3. Analyze the system response in open loop.
  4. Analyze the system response in closed loop.
  5. pH level control with a P, PI, PD and PID controller.
  6. Setting and optimizing the parameters of the PID control.
  7. Analysis of the different responses of the system to modifications of PID parameters.
  8. Study of the disturbances in a controlled system with a PID controller.
