General Description

The purpose of this application is to demonstrate the importance of energy storage in isolated environments. There are cases in whichdue to the absence of wind or photovoltaic energy we have no other option than to resort to the storage of chemical energy by meansof batteries.

This application consists of a bidirectional inverter whose purpose is to store energy in a battery, also included, and inmoments when demand requires it to quickly supply said energy. The advantage of this type of applications is that, since they arepower electronics, they have a high response speed. In this way, power plants such as hydroelectric or wind power have enough timeto react to sudden changes in demand. In periods of over energy production, batteries use that surplus to store it.
