Today we want to tell you about the last installation we have done in the Professional Training Centre for Employment in Cooling and Air Conditioning Technologies in Moratalaz (Madrid - Spain). There we have installed two of our equipment of the thermodynamics and thermotechnics area.
TIR Introduction to Refrigeration Unit
INNOVATIVE SYSTEMS
With simple and clear experiments, the Introduction to Refrigeration Unit, "TIR", designed by EDIBON, allows the familiarization with the operation and handling of a refrigeration system and offers a basic introduction to refrigeration.
RELATED NEWS
General Description
The Introduction to Refrigeration Unit, "TIR", is a unit with exchangeable sets in which the components are mounted on plates and quickly connected by flexible hoses.
The unit consists of a frame with a compressor, a refrigerant accumulator tank to ensure an adequate flow of refrigerant in the circuit and a liquid separator to prevent liquid from entering the compressor. Six exchangeable sets can also be placed in the frame at the same time and allow for the construction of simple compression refrigeration systems, connecting the sets and elements by cables and flexible hoses.
The sets are formed by the components mounted on plates and are ready to be easily mounted on the frame.
The experimental unit includes all the components required for a fully operational refrigeration circuit, such as compressor, condenser, evaporator and a capillary tube as expansion element. Other additional accessories in refrigeration systems are also included: double pressure control and manometers to protect the compressor against too high or too low pressure, flow meter, sight glass and filter.
The unit allows for different combinations of components, since there are two condensers and two evaporators, one acting as an air-refrigerant heat exchanger and the other as a water-refrigerant heat exchanger.
The frame contains a control and indication panel where the power absorbed by the compressor is displayed and where the compressor and the different fans can be controlled.
Pressures, flow rates, power consumption by the compressors and the most important characteristic variables of refrigeration circuits are displayed. Temperature is measured with thermometers belonging to the laboratory.
To fill and drain the system, the T/KIT1 element, Maintenance Kit containing Vacuum Pump, Hoses and Manometers is required.
To detect any refrigerant leaks in the unit we recommend the element T/KIT2, Maintenance Kit containing Leakage Detector.
To repeatedly fill and drain the system without losing the refrigerant, the use of the T/KIT3 Maintenance Kit containing the Refrigerant Filling and Evacuation Module is required.
