The Fuel Cell Energy Application, "AEL-FCLL", has been designed by EDIBON to demonstrate how fuel cells work.
This application includes a proton exchange membrane (PEM) fuel cell stack composed of several cells in the shape of a ribbed plate that allow air flow across the membrane. The membrane facilitates the flow of hydrogen, generating the release of electrons. There are separate plates that conduct electricity, allowing the flow of electrons, between each pair of cells. In addition, protection systems, electronic charging and solenoid valve are included. EDIBON offers the possibility of including an electrolyzer so as not to depend on a hydrogen cylinder.
