The Computer Controlled Biomedical Human Biosignals and Parameters Teaching Unit "BIHBPC" allows the user to simulate the main human Biosignals and to monitor them in a real Biosignals Patient Monitor (BI-PM). It includes a hardware emulator, which imitates the Biosignals that can be studied by the monitor, so that there is no need to connect any sensors to the students and the monitor.

General Description

Biosignals are all variables generated by living organisms which can be measured and monitored. The study of Biosignals is of great importance to understand the physicochemical and physiological processes in living systems.

Biosignals are used in clinical medicine for diagnostic purposes and to monitor critically ill patients.

The Computer Controlled Biomedical Human Biosignals and Parameters Teaching Unit "BIHBPC" allows the user to simulate the main human Biosignals and to monitor them in a real Biosignals Patient Monitor (BI-PM). It includes a hardware emulator, which imitates the Biosignals that can be studied by the monitor, so that there is no need to connect any sensors to the students and the monitor.

The Computer Controlled Biomedical Human Biosignals and Parameters Teaching Unit "BIHBPC" is provided with a set of practical exercises, through which the user will understand the basic principles about the monitoring and interpretation of the most important Biosignals.

  1. Many students view results simultaneously. To view all results in real time in the classroom by means of a projector or an electronic whiteboard.
  2. Open Control, Multicontrol and Real Time Control. This unit allows intrinsically and/or extrinsically to change the span, gains, proportional, integral, derivative parameters, etc, in real time.
  3. The Computer Control System with SCADA allows a real industrial simulation.
  4. This unit is totally safe as uses mechanical, electrical and electronic, and software safety devices.
