The PID Temperature Control and Regulation of Water Flow Unit, "RYC-TAG", designed by EDIBON, enables the practical study of automatic control systems through the regulation of water temperature by controlling the flow rate in a hot water circuit.

This unit allows students and technicians to understand and apply PID control theory in a real-world environment. It consists of a base with sensors and actuators such as a temperature sensor, a flowmeter, and a water pump, and an interface box that includes the power supply, signal conditioning, and required connections to the control system.

It is used in conjunction with the base unit "RYC" to control the temperature of the cold water circuit, by regulating the flow rate of the hot water circuit. Both circuits are connected through a heat exchanger, and manual disturbances can be introduced via a valve that alters the flow of the cold water circuit.
