The Energy Losses in Bends, "FME05", designed by EDIBON, allows the study of how sudden section variations, directional changes, and friction affect fluid flow within a pipeline. It enables the analysis of how different hydraulic elements create disturbances in fluid movement, providing a deeper understanding of energy losses in piping systems and their impact on flow efficiency.

一般說明

The Energy Losses in Bends, "FME05", designed by EDIBON, allows the study of how sudden section variations, directional changes, and friction affect fluid flow within a pipeline. It enables the analysis of how different hydraulic elements create disturbances in fluid movement, providing a deeper understanding of energy losses in piping systems and their impact on flow efficiency. The inlet flow is supplied either by the Hydraulic Bench, "FME00", or the Basic Hydraulic Feed System, "FME00/B".

The FME05 features a hydraulic circuit that includes two 90° elbows (short and medium), a long-radius 90° bend, an expansion, a sudden contraction, and a sharp directional change, allowing for the study of local head losses in different elements. For precise pressure and head loss measurements, the unit incorporates twelve pressurized water manometric tubes, two Bourdon-type pressure gauges (0 – 2.5 bar), and a manual air pump to pressurize the system. Additionally, it includes strategically placed pressure taps and two diaphragm valves to regulate the outlet flow and control the circuit’s hydraulic conditions, facilitating experimentation under various flow scenarios.
