12.- NAHRUNGSMITTEL- UND WASSERTECHNOLOGIE

Die Lebensmitteltechnologie ist eine Disziplin, die auf der Lebensmittelwissenschaft aufbaut und auf multidisziplinärem Wissen aus den Bereichen Ernährung, chemische Analyse, Physik, Biochemie und Technik basiert. Darüber hinaus zielt die Lebensmitteltechnologie darauf ab, die Beschaffenheit von Lebensmitteln und die mit ihrem Verderben verbundenen Phänomene zu verstehen, Verfahren zur Lebensmittelverarbeitung zu entwickeln und die Eigenschaften von Lebensmitteln zu verbessern, um die Verbraucher zufriedenzustellen. Die Lebensmittelindustrie umfasst die Bereiche Umwandlung oder Verarbeitung, Konservierung und Herstellung.

Der Lebensmittelsektor ist so breit gefächert, dass er auch andere Sektoren, wie die Herstellung von Verpackungen und den Transport, betrifft und die Aufbereitung von Wasser zu dessen Reinigung erfordert.

Wasseraufbereitungstechnologien schaffen es, das für unser Leben so notwendige Trinkwasser zu gewinnen. Das Wasser aus seinen verschiedenen Quellen (Brunnen, Flüsse, Meere, Industrieabwässer) durchläuft eine Vielzahl von Stufen, obwohl alle Behandlungen in der Regel in drei grundlegenden Stufen übereinstimmen: Wasseraufnahme, Reaktions- und Aufbereitungsprozesse und Versorgung.
