The PID Control and Regulation of Light Intensity Unit, "RYC-I", designed by EDIBON, enables the practical study of automatic control systems through the regulation of light intensity and the analysis of three different types of light sensors.

This unit allows students and technicians to understand and apply PID control theory in a real-world environment, comparing the performance of sensors such as a photodiode, a phototransistor, and other light detectors under varying light conditions. It consists of a base with sensors and actuators including a lamp and multiple optical sensors, and an interface box that integrates the power supply, signal conditioning, and necessary connections to the control system.

It is used in conjunction with the base unit "RYC" to control the light intensity inside a box, by regulating the electrical power supplied to the lamp.
