ОБЩЕЕ ОПИСАНИЕ
The Computer Controlled Submarine Currents Energy Unit, "ECMC", designed by EDIBON, allows simulation of the conversion process of ocean current kinetic energy into electrical energy by means of a submarine turbine. The unit reproduces on a laboratory scale the operating principles of marine generation equipment, making it possible to experimentally study the relationship between flow velocity, turbine torque, and generated power.
A set of computer-controlled pumps drives the water flow, generating an adjustable flow rate through the turbine. The current velocity can be precisely modified through the software, allowing the reproduction of different flow regimes and the study of their effect on conversion efficiency.
The submarine turbine, anchored inside the channel, is equipped with a transmission shaft connected to an electric generator. This converts the mechanical energy from rotational motion into electrical energy, which is recorded and displayed through the software. Speed and torque sensors determine the overall process efficiency, while flow sensors ensure control and stability of the unit during testing.
This Computer Controlled Unit is supplied with the EDIBON Computer Control System (SCADA), and includes: The unit itself + a Control Interface Box + a Data Acquisition Board + Computer Control, Data Acquisition and Data Management Software Packages, for controlling the process and all parameters involved in the process.
