The centrifugal pumps belong to the group of rotodynamic pumps, where the fluid is boosted thanks to the acceleration acquired whenpassing through the operating impeller.

This acceleration, which starts from the center of the impeller and goes to the outside, is transformedinto pressure at the end of the impeller, while negative pressures are generated at the suction side of the fluid. In most cases, this type ofdevices are installed in parallel in the industry, this way maintenance and repair tasks can be performed frequently without stopping theprocess.
