ОБЩЕЕ ОПИСАНИЕ

The Computer Controlled Gas Flow Classification Unit, "PSNC", is intended to separate solid material mixtures depending on the size of the components through a zigzag gravity classifier. When the process is complete, thin and coarse materials are separated in two different tanks.

The unit is divided into sections: a feed tank with a vibrating trough, a zigzag gravity classifier, a fan and a cyclone separator.

The initial solid mixture is introduced into the system through a hopper located on top of a vibrating trough. The trough pours the feed material into a gravity classifier. The trough can be controlled from the computer. The mass flow of solids can be regulated by changing the distance between the hopper and the trough or the vibration frequency. The zigzag gravity classifier has some bends where the compound is separated thanks to air turbulences. When passing through the classifier, thin components flow with air upwards while coarse components fall by gravity. Then, thin components are separated from air through a cyclone separator. The air stream is generated by a fan connected to the conduit and the flow can be controlled from the computer.

There are pressure sensors to control the differential pressure at the inlets and outlets of the gravity classifier and the cyclone. There is also a flow sensor at the conduit air inlet.

This Computer Controlled Unit is supplied with the EDIBON Computer Control System (SCADA), and includes: The unit itself + a Control Interface Box + a Data Acquisition Board + Computer Control, Data Acquisition and Data Management Software Packages, for controlling the process and all parameters involved in the process.
