열역학 법칙은 에너지 전달과 열과 일 사이의 상호 작용을 다루지 만 평형 시스템에서만 가능합니다. 결과적으로 초기 및 최종 상태를 결정할 수 있지만 중간 프로세스를 예측하고 정량화하는 데는 도움이되지 않습니다. 열 전달은 이러한 프로세스를 결정하는 방법을 제공합니다.

열 전달에는 세 가지 모드가 있습니다.

  • 전도 : 높은 온도에서 낮은 온도로 영역에서 열을 전달하는 온도 구배의 영향으로 인해 고체 매질에서 발생합니다. 단위 시간당 전도에 의해 전달되는 열은 온도 구배에 면적 A를 곱한 값에 비례합니다.
  • 대류 : 유체가 고체 표면과 접촉하면 유체 입자와 고체 사이에 교환이 발생합니다. 대류에는 두 가지 과정이 있습니다.
  • 자유 대류 : 구동력은 유체 입자 간의 밀도 차이에서 비롯됩니다. 고체와 접촉하는 입자는 온도와 밀도의 변화로 인해 상향 흐름을 일으 킵니다.
  • 강제 대류 : 추진력은 외부에서 나오고 표면에서 유체를 이동합니다.
  • 복사 : 매질이없는 경우 표면을 구성하는 원자 또는 분자의 전자적 구성의 변화로 인해 서로 다른 온도에서 두 표면간에 순 복사 열 전달이 발생합니다. 복사에 의해 방출되는 열은 Stefan-Boltzmann 법칙에 의해 제공됩니다.

열 전달을 막을 수는 없지만 전달 속도에 따라 행동 할 수 있습니다. 열전달 연구는 매개 변수를 기반으로 열 교환 속도를 최적화하는 재료 또는 구성을 결정하는 데 중요합니다.
